As I am doing more and more photography, I am realizing that one of the side perks I am enjoying is the fact that I get to know my couples a lot better going into their wedding day. When doing just video , we got maybe one meeting if that so there is really no chance to establish a rapport with them. In doing photography we have a meeting, plus an e-session which is where you really get to know a couple. With Nora & Amir, we got a chance to go out and do a really fun esession at Balboa Island and around Irvine and had a blast. We took both stills and video and put together a pretty fun little clip that we showed just prior to the Cinema Reale. I am excited about offering these kinds of esessions as they give everyone a chance to see beautiful photos, but also get a a little more of the couples personality through moving imagery. (More on that later)
Besides being an incredibly sweet couple, they are HUGE Laker fans like me so that automatically puts them at the top of my cool list. We had a lot of text and facebook correspondence during the Lakers championship run last year. You will of course immediately notice this about them but it is worth stating even if it is obvious, these two have two of the best sets of eyes on this planet! I mean, both of them have the best looking eyes and I remember noticing that right away even in our first meeting.
I had done Persian weddings before but not one of this scope and magnitude and never as a photographer and cinematographer. It was quite a day to say the least. Nora looked incredibly beautiful in her amazing dress. Helping her achieve her gorgeous look was Jeannie Jeffries who took care of the makeup and hair. I have to say, she always makes my job so much easier. She is incredibly talented, passionate and just a major sweetheart. She seems to be at literally every single Indian/ Persian I have done over the last couple years, a testimony to her expertise and her popularity is well deserved.
Worked with Paola from Just Chic Events yet again and like always , thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She is a great coordinator and super sweet.
For the Cinema Reale, we decided to use a Persian song mixed with an American song to encapsulate the day.

And here are a few teaser stills
