Had a blast hanging out with my buddyTara Rochelle as she took care of the stills.

Catherine and Nail gave me a bunch of retro songs that they liked for the Cinema Reale but none of them fit so I went with a retro song song by a contemporary artist and it all fell into place from there. . Sometimes songs and footage seem meant for each other. i especially love the “take…. my …..hand” sequence during ceremony. That little ring bearer’s face is priceless. That part definitely elicited lots of “ahhhs” from the audience.

Super guy Steve Steinhardt killed the photo and Lori from Save the Date did the coordinating superbly as always.

In thinking about this, part of that reason is the fact that I always feel so compelled to write so much about my weddings. There is a lot I want to say and for good reason; each wedding has its own unique experience that I love to share with you all. However, this is major reason for the backup. Also,as much as I love doing my trademark still image for each clip, it also is a huge time hog.

Therefore, in the interest of getting the content up as fast as possible, I am going to tone down what I write and also forgo the custom still image.

Dave and Sim are two of the most caring, loving, and passionate people you could ever meet and being there as a witness to their incredibly unique marriage was more than a privilege.

I met Talayeh awhile back and she immediately struck me with her bubbly fun personality that jumped out from her emails. So when I met her in person finally, at her good friend Neda’s wedding (posted just a few weeks ago…she is the one who referred me to Neda), we were already “old friends” and everything felt natural.

Her and Gil are two very wonderful people who’s perseverence and love for each other are an inspiration to all.

Without further delay, I give you Talayeh:

“Well where do I start ! By the grace of God I found out about Daniel and Imagique.. and I thank God for him everyday ! I have to say that having Daniel and his crew be my videographers was the best decision I ever made. Thru Daniel’s web site I found a link to my florist’s site Jen K Floral Design who had worked with Daniel on a previous wedding and I immediately fell in love with Jen and booked her too. The whole Imagique crew was so awesome and friendly to work with.. I felt like I instantly knew everyone and was so comfortable in their presence. Half the time I didnt even know they were around me videotaping us but they were ! I was counting down the hours to seeing my Cinema Reale during the reception. It was the most amazing Same Day Edit I have ever seen ! Everybody was in tears when it was finished ! The link to my video has spread like wildfire.. people I don’t even know have seen it and sent it out to others. My friend text me and told me ” I’m famous and I dont even know it” because of my Cinema Reale. Random people told me they watched the Cinema Reale and cried. Hiring Daniel and the Imagique crew was honestly the best decision I ever made. You guys were above and beyond… you truly made our night so magical !!! Thank you so much !!!!”

No…thank you Tala! Your infectious enthusiasm and wonderful personality make my “job” a joy.

We started in Santa Barbara on Friday, had two weddings in OC on Saturday, and then ended in San Diego on Sunday for Neda & Payam’s off the charts wedding. What a way to put a punctuation on an amazing weekend! Just one of those awesome days. Neda & Payam are the best. Love this couple and their wedding is very high on my list of all time favorites. So much life and personality to their wedding and everything was just as it should be if that makes sense. Perfect San Diego weather, venue was looking as amazing as ever, and vendors and bridal party all in festive moods. The bridal prep room was off the charts. It was literally the size of a small apartment and so pretty inside and the lighting was amazing. Due to this perfect formula coming together, it was actually a challenge was to find shots that didn’t suck .

Assisting in getting Neda to look her radiant best was my good friend Jeannie Jeffries of Couture Beauty who had her looking STUNNING. Neda just blew all of us away with how gorgeous she looked. Overheard coming from Jeannie’s mouth ” Wow,…i have a serious girl crush on you right now”. I think I can safely say that everyone did that day. These two beautiful people are incredibly engaging, sweet, and very sincere. Sounds cliche’ but I really feel like their my old friends and not clients.

Both of the families and bridal party were such amazingly welcoming and hospitable. We turned their bridal suite into a “war room” of sorts with all three computers chugging away at importing and converting. Payam, trying to memorize or names, came up with a nickname for our crew consisting of myself (Daniel) Wes, and Matt Jeppsen. Taking our initials, he dubbed us “WMD; Weapons of Mass Destruction”. Here’s hoping that that name sticks..I love it!

Got a chance to work alongside Jason and Nathaniel from Garrett Photography who seriously could not have been a cooler couple of dudes. It was a pleasure to capture the day alongside these guys. Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Neda gave me 4-5 pretty awesome songs to choose from so I used parts of 3 of hers and threw one of my own in for good measure and came up with this edit. This is one of my fav edits because it has a little bit of everything in it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
